How to mold the thermoforming (warm & bite) mouth trays?
Boil a pot of approximately 4 inches of water. Remove water from heat and allow to cool for 2-5 minutes. Water should be hot, but not boiling. Holding the end tab, Immerse one of the trays into the hot water, leave in for 5 records or until you notice the tray begin to wilt and become flexible. NOTE: Be careful not to leave the trays in for too long as they may shrink. Remove tray and quickly place around teeth, bite down firmly and close your mouth, sucking out all the air and excess water from the tray. Do this for 10-15 seconds. This will create your teeth impression and mold the tray to your unique shape. Repeat procedure for the second tray. NOTE: After trays are formed, use scissors to trim away the end tabs. Also trim the gum line, which will help to avoid gum irritation during the whitening process.

Are there any side effects? Yes, although infrequent, some possible side effects include the following:
- White spots: Some users may develop white spots on their teeth due to calcium deposits/plaque that naturally occur in teeth. These are common and will diminish after continued use.
- Gum blanching and irritation: Blanching of the gums and gum irritation may also occur when gel makes direct contact with the gums. This can be avoided by trimming your trays along the gum line, as well as by being careful not to overfill your trays. Use the suggested amount of gel as indicated in the instructions provided with your kit. Blanching and irritation should disappear within 5 minutes to 1 hour following the procedure. If blanching and irritation continues, you should increase the amount of time between bleaching sessions.
- Tooth sensitivity. Some users may experience reversible tooth sensitivity. This can be treated by following the whitening treatment with any toothpaste intended to reduce sensitivity such as Sensodyne. We also provide desensitizing gel which can be applied to the teeth prior to the whitening procedure.
